Notice of Special Meeting – January 18th, 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, January 18^th, 2023, at 4:00 P.M., at 112 South Water Street, West Newton, PA 15089, Council for the Borough of West Newton, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, will have a Special Meeting and will also act on an ordinance (of which this notice is the summary) authorizing the issuance of an awarding of its $714,000.00, principal amount, Guaranteed Revenue Bond, at private sale. If enacted, the ordinance will award the Note to the purchaser thereof, approve the form of the Bond, list the rate of interest to be paid, pledge the full faith and credit of the local government for the payment thereof, create a sinking fund and authorize the proper officers to take the necessary steps to issue the Bond. The funds to be obtained from the borrowing will be used as financing for the Main Street Sewer Line Project.
